Logo realvirtual.io

In the ctrlX OS Ecosystem, realvirtual.io delivers a Unity-based Digital Twin solution connecting to ctrlX OS via real-time WebSocket. It covers simulation, virtual commissioning, and web-based HMIs, supports HIL tests and PLC I/O mapping, and deploys to Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and WebGL to speed engineering and service.

Simulation

By creating digital twins of any automation system and simulating them in real time via WebSocket with ctrlX OS devices (e.g., ctrlX CORE), machine behavior can be reliably tested before the hardware is built.

Virtual Commissioning

Virtual commissioning of ctrlX OS automation projects even before physical hardware is available. By using HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing and PLC I/O mapping, commissioning times and risks can be significantly reduced.

3D HMI

Integration of ctrlX OS with 3D machine models for modern 3D HMIs or employee training — runs cross-platform on Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and WebGL.

Advantages

  • High-performance system powered by Unity game technology
  • Free starter or professional edition with low upfront costs—no runtime or annual fees
  • Fully extensible via Unity C#/.NET (shared source) and a large Unity developer community
  • Runs on any device: Windows, Linux, WebGL
  • Connects to ctrlX OS devices locally or over the Internet

Target Groups

  • Machine Builder
  • Machine Operator

Topology

realvirtual.io runs on Windows, Linux and WebGL and connects to ctrlX OS devices (like ctrlX CORE) either locally in the plant or machine network or over the Internet.

About realvirtual.io

With 18 years of experience, realvirtual.io, a brand of realvirtual GmbH, is revolutionizing the market by using the open Unity Real Time 3D framework and its extensive ecosystem. This provides a platform that drives digital twin technologies through unlimited extensibility, enabling the transformation of CAD data into customized, interactive 3D models for sales, simulation and virtual commissioning.
