Michael Koch GmbH

Application-specific Pxt devices from Koch ensure optimal energy for frequency converters or servo drives. They are easily connected to the DC bus of the ctrlX DRIVE via plug-and-play and can be integrated into the control platform ctrlX CORE and/or ctrlX I/O for communication options.

Energy efficiency & Recuperation

Energy efficiency and productivity increase in portion cutter: Recuperation and managing braking energy, the brake energy is recovered and restored into the system when required. Thereby possibility of raising the cutting speed from 80 to 120 cuts per minute – araise in productivity by 50% and avoiding unplanned downtimes.

Controlled stop on power failure

Controlled stop with no damage in drilling & riveting: In the event of a power failure, the drill is automatically retracted from the workpiece. Processing can then continue. This avoids damage to the very cost-intensive workpieces and enables further processing without downtime.

Peak load reduction

Active energy management system for stacker cranes, optimally designed to reduce power peaks and energy consumption. Control is possible either through the drive system or independently via plug & play with freely definable, ampere-precise mains current limiting. Efficiency is increased by storing and reusing braking energy.

Advantages

  • Managing brake energy
